Cub Scouts are young people who are 8 to 10½ years old and belong to the middle section of the scout group

Here at 1st South Hornchurch, the Cub Pack meet on a Monday night from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, led by our experienced Akela Dave, who is ably assisted by the lovely Lyn. Cubs wear delightful green jumpers and the group scarf. They spend their weekly meetings playing games, learning new skills, being creative and getting out and about in the local area.

Cubs also get to try lots of different activities like kayaking, abseiling, climbing and cooking. A lot of these activities can lead to badges and awards. Cub Packs also go on trips, days out and best of all camps, which means sleeping in a tent and doing lots of outdoor activities.
