Beaver Scouts are boys and girls who are 6 to 8 years old. They belong to the youngest section of the Scouting family. Here at 1st South Hornchurch, we've recently managed to find  enough cool kids to fill two Beaver colonies - Apache and Cherokee. They meet on a Monday night from 5:30 to 6:45 pm and on a Tuesday from 5:00 to 6:15 pm.

...............

They spend their weekly meetings making friends, playing games, being creative and, most importantly of all, having fun! Nights away, sleepovers and day trips are also organised during weekends and school holidays.

Beaver Scouts wear turquoise sweatshirts and the group scarf. There are lots of badges and awards that Beavers can take part in like the Outdoor Challenge, the Imagination activity badge and the Chief Scout's Bronze Award.
